Sleeping Out Fundraiser
Two of our charity team have been testing their resolves over the last week from leg waxes to sleeping rough, all in the name of raising money and awareness of youth homelessness. The sleep out was a fundraising event organised by Centrepoint.
With only cardboard, a sleeping bag and the clothes they were in to keep them warm, Ryan Parker and Tom Frame slept rough in Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on Wednesday night. Both managed to get some sleep and it certainly made them appreciate their beds the next night. So far they’ve raised nearly £400 for the charity.
Tom possibly felt the cold even more, having had his legs waxed a couple of days before. Staff in the office paid per strip to wax his legs, with the proceeds going to the charity.
